Our favourite resident psycho Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) is back in the new setting of LA under the moniker, Will Bettelheim, just in time for our Boxing Day binge of You season two. He finds himself infatuated with another wholesome everygirl, Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), amidst the chaos of trying to escape his back-from-the-dead ex Candance, (Ambyr Childers) who threatens to expose his past, and his murdering of recent ex, Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail).

Picture this: It’s December first. Christmas lights are strung all around, jingles are playing wherever you go, and all you can think is: ‘when will this be over?’ I remember one of my friends asking me the question: “How can you not like Christmas?” and I just thought, ‘well, why would I?’

It is scientifically proven that the weather can affect your mood, which is why we students often associate summer with happiness (hot weather, fewer layers and of course, no university), and winter with sadness (dreary weather, pressure from deadlines and sleepless nights in the library trying to balance our work with other aspects of our life.

Camila Cabello was always the breakout star of girl-band Fifth Harmony, but the 22-year-old has returned with a bang with her new 14-track sophomore album, ‘Romance‘, released on December 6. First track “Shameless” is the beautiful opener for the album, exploding into an intense track about wanting somebody too much to a point where it becomes embarrassing.

Northern Irish rock band Snow Patrol have reworked 13 tracks into a new album released on November 8 with the same title, with three new bonus tracks. Reworked contains classics from the band’s third to seventh albums and is a tribute to their 25-year career.

Atypical has always been a criminally underrated show, but season three has shown that this show is one of the great Netflix originals. Atypical was a show I heard about accidentally, seeing the trailer for season one posted on YouTube a year ago.

Kingston’s Biomedical and Save A Baby’s Life societies collaborated on October 25, throwing a Halloween party for retiring Biomedical Science lecturer, Dr B. Steve Robinson. The party was thrown at the Mill pub in Kingston and was originally a way to raise awareness of the ‘Save A Baby’s Life’ society, but then became a group effort to celebrate Mr Robinson.

Kingston’s environmental society @Kuenviro has already made an impact, boasting 30 members to date without heavy promotion after running for only a month since September. The society is run by third-year biomedical students, Lucie Dyer and Maddie Fleetwood and has already hosted two meetings with a successful turnout of students.

Students have come and gone, but KU’s halls of residence have become the homes of some furry friends, including Tyrone, who has been the ‘Clayhill cat’ for over a decade. Tyrone was abandoned and rescued by caretaker Paul Grundy, who adopted the cat.
